ICBC Update: No Direct Billing ICBC: Recovery Network

Effective March 29, 2025, our clinic will no longer participate in ICBC’s Health Care Services Provider Network. This means we will no longer offer direct billing to ICBC for treatments.

Why We Made This Decision

Recent changes to ICBC’s policies have introduced new terms that impact the way healthcare providers can offer treatment. These changes include:

  • ICBC dictates treatment decisions based on financial metrics rather than clinical need.

  • Increased access to private health records without explicit patient consent.

  • Retroactive denial and payment reclaims for treatments ICBC later deems unnecessary.

  • Restrictions on treatment options available to patients.

  • We believe these changes compromise patient privacy, treatment autonomy, and the quality of care we can provide.

What This Means for You

  • You can still receive care at our clinic as usual.

  • Patients will pay at the time of service and submit receipts to ICBC for potential reimbursement. We will provide all necessary documentation to assist with this process.

  • Your treatment plan will be based on clinical expertise, without interference from third-party policies.
